Writing a trainer for Soukoban

Here's a tutorial dedicated to gamers :)

We will write a trainer for this tiny little game called Soukoban.



Let's get going. Launch ollydbg.exe and open soukoban.exe. Press F9 to run. The game now runs. First, we need to find the main procedure where the program loops. To do so, we set a breakpoint on USER32.RegisterClassExA. Why RegisterClassExA? By now you should already know that whenever we want to create a window using the CreateWindowA function, we must call RegisterClassExA with a pointer to the WNDCLASSEX structure. The WNDCLASSEX structure looks like this: typedef struct { UINT cbSize; UINT style; WNDPROC lpfnWndProc; int cbClsExtra; int cbWndExtra; HINSTANCE hInstance; HICON hIcon; HCURSOR hCursor; HBRUSH hbrBackground; LPCTSTR lpszMenuName; LPCTSTR lpszClassName; HICON hIconSm; } WNDCLASSEX, *PWNDCLASSEX; So we see that the third value (or struct+8) is a pointer to WndProc where the main loops of the program are. After we have the breakpoint set, Ollydbg breaks and we see this: 0012FE34 00405B67 /CALL to RegisterClassExA from Soukoban.00405B61 0012FE38 0012FE6C pWndClassEx = 0012FE6C Now in the data window, press Ctrl+G and type in 0012FE6C (remember it's a structure!). Aha, something interesting at 0012FE6C + 8. We can see the address of our main program loop. You should see something like this if you did everything correctly: 0012FE74 70 51 40 00 Now in the code window, press Ctrl+G and type our address 0405170. Good, we see 00405170 6A FF PUSH -1 which is the start of WndProc. Note that, whenever we press a key in the game a WM_KEYDOWN is processed. WM_KEYDOWN has a value of 0x100. So press Ctrl+G, type in 004054D3 and press F2 to set a breakpoint. Now if we press a key in the game Olly breaks for us. That is great! Remove the old breakpoint at 004054D3 and set a new breakpoint on each push 004054F1, 004054FD, 00405509, and 00405515. We notice that whenever we press a key, different push is made. So we have: Up Key = 004054F1 0 Down Key = 004054FD 1 Left Key = 00405509 2 Right Key = 00405515 3 This is great information to us. Now we see that with each push the same call to the same address is made. We will enter that address now. Set a breakpoint on 00402880. We see a lot of code but don't worry as it is quite simple. So we only care for the code on 004028C7. After few "Stepping Over"'s, we arrive to this instruction: 004029D5 FF0D 48504300 DEC DWORD PTR DS:[435048] Which decreases the value for our soko (y-axis). We can see that the y-axis value is at 435048 (this is a constant address). And next to it you can instantly notice it's the x-value at 43504C (constant address). Now we have everything we need to know to write a trainer. The code is very simple so I decided not to comment it. That is all for now, I hope you had fun while reading this tutorial! um, this is unrelated to this trainer, but you released a warcraft 3 no-cd crack v 1.21 and everytime i try to connect to battle.net it gives me a "unable to validate game version" error, any way to fix this?? please post here
