So what are the tools for linux?

i would like to expand my knowledge a bit to the realm of linux debugging..
so i could get some basics ..

so far the things i have heard around are

gdb
ddd
ptrace

(and i can't really seem to find ptrace right away)

any other tools, or a few tuts?

btw for linux stuff one could also visit
pulltheplug.org it has various wargames
vortex,catalyst,semtex,blackhole,jessica and some other stuff

and our beloved detten and well me to some extent were supposed to move our Smile

but
oh never mind just keep looking till some thing happens

hehe, right stingduk. we were going to cover some basic linux reversing... it is not because we are lazy/lack time it will never happen Cool

Luckily people like Koffee remind us of our original plans.

And since the original question was about tools for linux reversing, I might tell that when its winter/cold outside/dark days I'll resume my coding project to make a PVDasm linux version.
(Ive started it, got the engine ported, but dropped the project during summer)

what is the problem with the original site it still is up and running
why cant you make a zip yourself

Hello People,

But the author is mentionning a set of customized tools. At this address

Which can't no longer be accessed.

Could someone tell me where can i retrieve the modified tools ?

PS: I saw that someone mentionned 0xf001's website. I was a bit anxious about him since he disappeared some times, anyway he just answered a mail I send to him before, he's now back and will release Review very soon, as he said. Very Happy

those are a few perl scripts that were coded by dion medel for his prize inning honeynet contest entry
