Since last sunday when I reversed and phished a serial for autorun design specialty 4.0, i have since reversed, patched, and unpacked 30 software targets.
Some include armadillo 3.x-4.x, ASpack, UPX, ASprotect, and some with real nasty serial encryption routines. i used some good toolz from the unpacking scene, and then debugged the heck out of the unpacked files.
sometimes i had to patch an app to get it to accept a serial, and then fool it into thinking it was OK.
all in all, i have tested 30 programs, and they ALL work perfectly.
I am a one man team, so im wondering if 30 is a good mark for someone who wants to contribute to the Scene?
I think numbers doesn't matter, skills matter.
To contribute in scene bigger problem is to find the way. And it depends on what scene exactly your talking about, probably easiest way could be to join some team.
The problem isn't that u can't crack the software ... the basic problem and interests are to know HOW to do it and what exactly does the CODE do...
When you will actually understand the code you shall be able to do alot. And another thing the fun way is to learn how to unpack on your own,not use somebody else's tools so that you can crack that app...that isn't fun...
