somekind of coding section that explains the old a basic implementation of cripher algos...or some section on how to ... like how to code that...with source included...and stuff like that
On the new site, remarks and questions concerning a tutorial or crackme can be posted as comments to the articles. More general questions can be put in one of the forum topics I suppose... I think this should be sufficent and more organised. Feel free to disagree with me _________________ Ignorance is bliss, knowledge is power
Does new forum have option to upload file with post?
I was thinking to post one tutorial about ASProtect, so those who are interested could talk about it, find wrong conclusions and lacks of information since that is noob tut.
And seams that folks still sticks to old forum. Btw, I was registered as dalmata there.
The forum supports upload as far I as know. But posting a tutorial is better done using the sites 'contribute' link at the top. On all tuts people can post comments with remarks, or add-ons. _________________ Ignorance is bliss, knowledge is power
It's a noobish tutorial which will not reveal all secrets of ASPR, so didn't consider it as worth of putting it there. It's just how one noob has discovered that he can unpack it.
I clicked on that "Upload a file" on left and it opened some options for uploading. Then I must choose where to put it and wait for approval. Am I correct?
Don't use the 'upload a file' but use the 'contribute' link on the top. More info can be found in the FAQ section of this forum.
Newbie 2 newbie tuts are very interesting, as they tend to be understandable for newbies. And if you try to explain as much as possible, then it will be a good tutorial.
Only tutorials that go like 'press F8 15x, then press shift+F9, click here, do that,...' aren't very useful in my opinion.
But anyway go ahead and contribute the tut, we will then see if we approve it or not. Nothing to lose _________________ Ignorance is bliss, knowledge is power
I was just about to mention what Ben said. It's rather annoying to click on the Reversing section on the Forum, loggin in, then being taken back to the main page of the website
yeah, plus, there's a cookie-mismatch between the forum and the main site,
like now, i saw i'm not logged into the forum, but i was logged to the main site,
so i went to the main page and back to the forum, and i was logged in again..
black magic i tell ya.. _________________ thoughts roam free and endless..
